Hi, I’m Recep.

I work on the backend side, but my job is not just about writing code and moving on. For me, “it works” is usually the starting point, not the finish line.

When designing a system, I often ask myself questions like: Will this still make sense in the long run? Can the same result be achieved with a simpler design? Is this truly fast, or just fast enough?

While writing code, I care not only about what works, but also why it works that way. That’s why architectural decisions and technology trade-offs matter to me.

My focus goes beyond backend development. Infrastructure, deployment processes, service communication, and overall system design are all parts of the work I enjoy.

I don’t choose technologies because they are trendy. I choose them because they fit the problem. Sometimes the newest tool is the right answer, and sometimes a simple, proven solution works best.

Titles don’t matter much to me. What matters is enjoying the work and building better systems with every project.

In short: I write code, but my real goal is to build clean, sustainable, and well-thought-out systems.

Backend tarafında çalışıyorum ama yaptığım iş sadece kod yazmakla sınırlı değil. Benim için “çalışıyor mu?” sorusu genelde başlangıç noktasıdır, bitiş noktası değil.

Bir sistemi ele alırken kendime sık sık şu soruları sorarım: Bu yapı uzun vadede hâlâ mantıklı olacak mı? Daha sade bir tasarımla aynı işi yapabilir miyim? Gerçekten hızlı mı, yoksa sadece yeterince mi hızlı?

Kod yazarken yalnızca sonucu değil, neden o sonuca gittiğimizi de önemsiyorum. Bu yüzden mimari kararlar, kullanılan teknolojiler ve bunların artı–eksi yönleri benim için önemli.

Backend’in yanında altyapı, deploy süreçleri, servisler arası iletişim ve sistemin uçtan uca nasıl çalıştığı da ilgi alanım. Bir ürünü sıfırdan alıp bütün olarak düşünmek ve bunu hayata geçirmek bana keyif veriyor.

Kullandığım teknolojileri moda olduğu için değil, probleme gerçekten uygun olduğu için seçmeye çalışırım. Bazen en yeni araç doğru çözümdür, bazen de sade ve kendini kanıtlamış bir yaklaşım.

Unvanlar çok umurumda değil. Asıl motivasyonum, her projede biraz daha iyi sistemler kurmak ve yaptığım işten keyif almak.

Kısaca: Kod yazıyorum ama asıl amacım doğru çalışan, sürdürülebilir ve anlaşılır sistemler kurmak.
